Ultimately the person in the clothes is more important than the threads, but changing what you wear can influence how people treat you and perceive you and it can also change how you feel about yourself and how your conduct yourself.

I'm not saying that clothes trick people into treating you differently or they change your personality, but it can make people more receptive to you and allow you to feel more comfortable with yourself which translates into being able to conduct yourself easier with people.

The saying "clothes maketh the man" definitely holds truth.
